What was once the grand ballroom of the Moxó family is today one of the Palau's greatest treasures. This rococo-style hall preserves a magnificent ceiling that probably was a wedding gift: An original 18th-century ceiling repainted in the 19th century with detailed pictorial decoration representing the seasons of the year, among other allegories common to that period. In contrast, a huge circular pendant lamp created by Josep Lluís Xuclà transports us to the present.
This marvelous hall is an invitation to travel back in time imagining the Moxó family and the Barcelona aristocracy public life: A unique space in the city for holding private events with an enormous added value. The Sant Mori hall –which owes its name to the title of Marquisate obtained by the Moxó family in the 20th century– adapts to different set-ups and it can be connected to the Montcortés and Rocabertí halls.
